The Serbian National Internet Domain Registry Foundation (RNIDS) is pleased to host this year's CENTR Jamboree. From 31 May to 2 June, colleagues from national registries of top-level domains (ccTLDs), members of the Council of European National Top-Level Registries (CENTR), will gather in Belgrade.
During the three-day meeting, plenary sessions dedicated to current trends in the domain industry will be organized, the project teams will present in detail the progress achieved in the various projects on which experts are working through CENTR, and each CENTR working group (legal and regulatory, marketing, admin, tech, security and research and development group) will have its own session.
CENTR is an association of ccTLD registries in Europe, but also in several non-European countries (Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, etc.). It has existed in its current form since 2006 with its headquarters in Brussels. CENTR has a pivotal role in connecting registries, in their cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experience in order to improve services for all Internet users.
On 3 October 2008, RNIDS became a full member of CENTR and regularly participates in the work of its expert bodies.
The RNIDS Foundation is grateful to CENTR for the trust shown and the opportunity to organize the event, to host so many colleagues in Belgrade, and to reciprocate the hospitality that our team members have enjoyed at events organized by other European registries. This is another important international gathering organized by RNIDS, bearing in mind that last year we hosted the RIPE 85 conference and the meeting between the CENTR technical working group and the DNS-OARC.
