The Serbian National Register of Internet Domain Names (RNIDS) celebrated its third anniversary and the second birthday of the .RS domain. The event took place in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and was opened by the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society, Ms. Jasna Matić.
Representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Ministry of Defence, as well as reputable guests from abroad - Wim Degezelle, Communication Manager, the Council of European National Top Level domain Registers – CENTR, Julia Ovchinnkova, a member of the Coordination Center for TDL .RU and PhD Manel Sanroma, a member of the Expert Committee of Fundacio puntCat from Barcelona were present.
Two accompanying events were organised within the convention: a discussion about the introduction of the Cyrillic IDN ccTLD of Serbia which was, at the same time, the initiation of the public debate regarding this issue; and a meeting with registrars.
