Availability of information about registered .rs domains

RNIDS will always make the following minimum information about registered .rs domain names available through the WHOIS database:

• domain name
• date and time of registration of the domain name
• date and time of the last change made to the domain name registration details
• date and time of expiry of the domain name
• name of the accredited registrar responsible for the domain name
• current status of the domain name (active, deactivated, disputed, in arbitration, etc.)
• DNS servers for the domain name

The contact details of a .rs domain name are:

• if the registrant is an individual: name and surname, place of residence, administrative contact and technical contact
• if the registrant is a legal entity or sole trader: business name, registered office, company registration number, tax number, administrative contact and technical contact.

In order to protect privacy, some contact details will not be publicly accessible and will depend on whether the registrant is an individual or legal entity.

RNIDS, by means of the WHOIS database, will make at least the following contact details for all registered .rs domain names publicly accessible as long as the registrant has not activated privacy protection for their contact details:

• if the registrant is an individual: name and surname
• if the registrant is a legal entity or sole trader: business name, registered office and company registration number

On receiving a written request with rationale, RNIDS must provide any interested party with the contact details for a .rs domain name within three days of receiving the request.

When a registrant requests privacy protection of the contact details of their .rs domain name, RNIDS must disable access to the contact details of the .rs domain name for which the request was submitted.

What is privacy protection for contact details?

Contact details privacy protection (WHOIS protection, WHOIS privacy) is a service which hides contact details in the publicly accessible WHOIS database. This means that your contact details, such as your name and surname (for individuals) and business name, registered office and ID number (for legal entities) will not publicly accessible.

Why would I activate privacy protection for my contact details?

This service is suitable for people and organisations who do not want others to be able to find out that they are the holder of a specific domain name. Protection is also used by companies that have registered a domain name for a new campaign or product and do not want others to know who is behind it before the official launch.

RNIDS charges a fee for the activation of .rs domain name contact details privacy protection.

RNIDS must allow relevant government bodies access to all details of .rs domain names registered within the rsTLD registry in accordance with law or court orders issued in accordance with law.
