REGISTRANTS

Registrants are the end-users (holders) of Internet domain names who register .rs domains for their own needs through an accredited .rs domain name registrar.

A registrant is a party that, in accordance with the provisions of the General Terms for the registration of .rs domains names, registers and uses a .rs domain within the rsTLD registry. A registrant can be a local or foreign individual or legal entity.

The administrative contact is an individual or a legal entity authorised to receive information from RNIDS significant to the registration and to make changes to all information regarding the registration of the national domain names on behalf of the registrant.

The technical contact is an individual or legal entity authorised to make changes to technical information relating to the registration of the national domain names (DNS server information and changes to the person appointed as the technical contact) on behalf of the registrant.

A registrant can register multiple .rs domain names within the rsTLD registry, and for the registration of each .rs domain name submits a separate application to the chosen accredited registrar.

When submitting a registration application, the registrant must provide accurate, full and current information:
- if the registrant or administrative contact is an individual: name and surname, address, citizen’s ID number, administrative and technical contact and information on the primary and secondary DNS server for the .rs domain name being registered;
- if the registrant or administrative contact is a legal entity or sole trader: business name, registered office, company registration number, tax number (optional), administrative and technical contact and information on the primary and secondary DNS server for the .rs domain name being registered.

If any of the .rs domain name registration information changes, the registrant must immediately, at the latest within 15 days, via the accredited registrar, submit to RNIDS an application for amendment of the information.

RNIDS may at any time verify the accuracy of .rs domain name registration information by sending a message to the e-mail address of the registrant and administrative contact and it is their duty to confirm the data within 15 days.

By submitting a registration application, the registrant explicitly declares and certifies that, to the best of his or her knowledge and belief, the registration of the desired .rs domain name does not infringe others’ intellectual property rights or other subjective right, and that all information provided in the registration application is truthful and complete. The registrant also declares that the .rs domain name is not being registered contrary to the principle of good faith, honesty and good business practice, and that the .rs domain name will not knowingly be used contrary to these principles.
